There are some blunders and mistakes, which any web designer must watch out in order to avoid any serious defect from happening to their websites. Most of the errors made in web designing have outcomes such as less traffic, heavy in loading, dull in outlook, uninteresting and something like that. The mistakes can be easily avoided and hence their corresponding outcomes.

One common mistake that does not sound like a mistake but it acts so bad when employed and that is using extravagant and superfluous text. Most users access the webpage in first sight instead of reading it all the way down. The text must be exactly relevant and up-front. Too much padding should be avoided.

Flash websites are a symbol of sophisticated modern techniques but overusing flash is not preferable because of the extra load it puts on the loading process of the page. Flash contents are also apt to deflect the attention of user from the actual content due to their multimedia and non-static qualities.

Navigation system needs careful work while designing your website. Navigation of your website must be easy, simple and well organized to prevent the problems that user might face while surfing through your website. The users more often come across situations like getting lost inside your website and could not find the page they wished to return to later and therefore they just quitted and got rid altogether.

If your page contains links, you should make them distinct from the ordinary text. They should be free of any confusion and that the used links should be distinct from unused links. You can use something like coloring to do so. For example, you may color the unused links in blue while for used links you may color them in red.

Spelling and grammar mistakes should be avoided as they leave harsh impressions upon the reader’s mind. The user will assume you of an unprofessional and illiterate sort of thing. Secondly, the user will lose confidence concerning your material and immediately ignore your website altogether.

Using extra-long pages has the same effect as that of using bulk of text. Users mostly, do not like to bother themselves in finding the material they need inside an un-ending page. They just get out of your site. Use pages that could display only what is right and necessary and nothing much else.

Using un-necessarily the registration systems are not good at all. Try to be simple and use them only at extreme necessity because it makes users feel very unpleasant and lazy to fill up huge forms, go through number of steps and wait until a subscription is made. Most of the users I have seen just close the website that contains the word ‘register’.
Search Engine Optimization is an advisable tool to enhance the website traffic and to prove straightforward in regards to the required material of users. Make use of the text that is search engine optimized or even if you are having difficulties in these situations, there is nothing to panic because of dozens of SEO people out there. You can hire or just verify your site by an SEO.

There are two types of sites available over the internet; first one is general informative sites and the second one is ecommerce sites. Informative sites are generally static sites and people mostly go to those sites to come to know about various information. There is no transaction takes place in such sites; but on the other hand, people buy services or products from the ecommerce websites. The mechanism of working of an ecommerce website is completely different from the general informative websites. The procedure of building or designing an ecommerce website is also different and complex in comparison to the static informative websites. Let us discuss, which points should be taken care of, at the time of building a ecommerce website.

?	First of all, an ecommerce website should look good. People love good looking websites; so the looks of an ecommerce website should be enchanting.
?	An ecommerce website should be user friendly. If a person faces difficulties in navigating through the website, then they will never come back to that particular website. An ecommerce website should be done in such a manner that a person should face no hassle in navigating through the website.
?	There is a payment page has to be there in every website, where people will make the payment for the goods or services at that page. That page has to be really protected and safe. Otherwise, important information about the credit or debit cards of the people can be stolen and once that happened, people will never trust to buy from that site. There are several companies are giving protection to the online payment gateways, you should avail safety service from any of the reputed service provider to protect that page of your website.
?	An ecommerce website needs to be ultra light in weight. Heavy websites take time to get loaded and it is a very frustrating experience for someone using a slow internet connection to load a heavy website. So a designer should try to make an ecommerce website as less as possible, as far as weight is concerned.
?	The products and services available for sale in a particular ecommerce website should be described in a very detailed manner. If there is any photo is necessary then the photo should be given so that the buyer can get a clear view of the product, he or she is going to buy. There should be photos of the product from different angles and there should be a facility to zoom in. people love to buy from those sites, where clear picture of the products are available. If possible, then one should try to give HD photos for even a better view. Generally, the weight of the HD photos is more than the general photos but the clarity of the HD pictures are really appreciable.

If anyone keeps the above mentioned facts in mind at the time of building a website, then he or she should be able to make a great ecommerce website.

There is an important relationship between web design and search engine optimization. SEO services are responsible for improving the search engine rankings of a website to bring more internet traffic on the website. Whereas a good looking web design grabs the attention of the visitors and keeps them on the webpage to check the content and navigate through different pages. In other words SEO is concerned with the marketing and advertisement of the website letting internet user know about the presence of an online website and driving them to visits the webpages while web design is responsible for the attracting the users once they arrive on the website.

Bounce rate
Bounce rate is an ideal way to measure the quality and effectiveness of your webpage. Google offers bounce rate which explains the single page visits of the landing page of a website. Your target should be to get a low bounce rate of your landing page. A high bounce rate indicates that the content of your landing page is irrelevant to the information mentioned in the ad copy on the search engine. To get a low bounce rate, it is necessary to provide the landing page with the relevant content with the keywords used in the ad copy. If the landing page offers the relevant content, the visitors would not only stay on the webpage for more time but also navigate to other pages to check out the relevant content, hence, the bounce rate of landing page of your website would be very low.

Importance of the homepage
Homepage of a business website plays highly significant role to increase the number of visitors. The content available on the homepage should be in accordance with the search engine ads so that visitors find the content relevant to their search keywords. On the homepage, you need to provide links to additional WebPages so that visitors can click on these links to move to the landing pages of the site. Therefore, a good website design can be very helpful in doing SEO. The features of a good website design include:

•	Internal linking structure or navigation
•	Folder structure
•	URL generation and naming conventions
•	Coding and page download time

Web design and SEO work hand in hand
The objective of SEO services is to bring the large numbers of visitors to the homepage of the website. Search engine optimizers use different techniques and methods to advertise the website online. Some of the important methods of SEO include article submissions, blog postings, adding website name to different online directories and maintaining a business blog about the products and services that a business offers. The final product of SEO is to bring users on the website of the business.
Once the visitors open the homepage, the role of SEO ends and the role of web design begin. It is the web design and the high quality of the homepage and other WebPages that compel visitors to stay on the website and navigate through different WebPages.

Web designing is the process by which all the websites are designed. Designing deals with the formatting of the contents, documents, application and layout of the website. Designing is an important phase in development of the website. For assisting in this important task, nowadays a lot of tools are available in the market which makes designing easy and less time taking.

Tools for web designing

We will start with the most used tools for designing web sites. The most popular tools for designing a web site are as follows:

•	Photoshop: Adobe Photoshop is a product of Adobe Systems Incorporated. It is a very popular graphic editing tool available in the current scenario. It not only allows to edit the already existing images but also it gives a lot of option for creating our own imagined pictures and figures also. It has all necessary features like brushes, action and scripting which allows adding various effects and features to your picture.

•	Dreamweaver: Dreamweaver is originally a product of Macromedia and which is now developed by Adobe Systems. It is the most popular web designing tool for operating system Mac and Windows. It allows you to see the preview of your website in your local web servers. It also uses third party extensions so that the core functionality of the application. It edits file locally and then uploads them to remote web servers.

•	Fireworks: Fireworks was originally created by Macromedia which was later acquired by Adobe Systems in 2005. It is a bitmap and vector graphic editor. It rapidly creates prototypes and application interfaces. The best quality about fireworks is that it easily integrates with other macromedia products like Dreamweaver, flash etc. It can be acquired as a stand alone application. It allows a great control with ease of usability. Some of the most utilized features of Fireworks are layers, special effects, ability to use Photoshop plug-ins etc. Another strong area of Fireworks lies in exporting of graphics for which earlier third party was required. Coda looks lovely, and feels like it is approachable by semi-pro web developers also unlike other web development and designing tools for which you are suppose to have in depth knowledge of the coding and language.

When it comes to your commerce place more considerations must be given every moment with, a specific situation to make sure it performs optimally to serve through the lens. Many companies do not have a significant online presence, because they provide a reasonable amount of time in the plot to become a professional website to attract customers.

To have a good presence on the web are some guidelines to follow in the web design you need to know.

1. Welcome to the first suggestions of a few. There are some things you can do to evaluate the effectiveness of your Web site. This can be done in several ways. First, ask people to look at your site and make their general views on the site. Second, call your family and friends trying to fix something from your site, and consider how the customer experience can be streamlined. Also, check your sites with different browsers, so you can determine whether your site is compatible with all browsers free or not. You need to examine customers as soon as you start your site to make improvements quickly.

2. Including a second call to act would be more useful. Call to Action is an activity you want your client to expect when they see your site. The focus should be on one key energy per screen and do not get too many products on one screen. The call to action button must be clearly visible without scrolling. Also, do not hide it under pages of information.

3. Navigation is another important thing to look at a website. It will help potential customers find what they want as quickly and smoothly as possible. Web Design with its own hierarchy, descriptive categories, clear and guidance is needed. Make sure all links are click able, and labor, remove broken links. Visitors should know exactly where on the site. It is not always necessary for an alien to deliver on the cover of this landing page for each keyword must run as a home page.

4. Good design can improve the user experience to your site, as it could mean the visual text clean and simple. Good combination of colors so which everything is easy, and not fighting?

5. Integrating analysis on your site can help visitors now enter a keyword and collect relevant information on your website without having to scroll. Research should be clearly visible and it is clear that the place of the homepage must be quite large. To increase sales to ensure your search results link to the product page.

Typically, visitors examine the text on the Internet rather than reading it. Therefore, the information you order online is easy and concise. To use a description, brief bullet line, heading, captions, etc. Include all the keywords you want for your marketing strategy online and do not forget to highlight keywords. This has importance that your website is SEO friendly. Adding a site map, use Meta tags and use only relevant keywords in your Meta description. You should be aware that search engines constantly scrutinize the content, so keep your original message, and save up to see the same.

All this can occur when you get a business web good design. Make sure that the company should also provide services for developing Web applications that are necessary to web design.

Web designers and web developers are not the same thing because they perform different actions for the websites. Web designing is concerned with the design and content of the website while web developers are responsible for the functionality of the WebPages. This article describes the difference between the two. Before understanding the difference between the web designers and the web developers, it is necessary to have an idea about the different aspects of a website.

Overall appearance of the website
Overall appearance refers to the look and feel of the website. It is the task of the web designer to decide and use different colors, images and graphics to create the layout of the WebPages.

High-quality Content
Content of website includes every single word available on the website. Content is perceived to be the king because that’s what the internet users search for.

Functionality
Functionality refers to interactive aspects and the animated work of the website. The web programmers use and apply different programming languages such as flash, Java, Perl and Php that make it possible for internet users to view WebPages.

Usability
Usability is evaluated from the users’ views and remarks about the website. When internet users open a website and navigate from one page to other, they get the idea how good or how bad the website is. Hence, usability of the website depends upon overall look and feel of the WebPages, user-friendly navigation, the relevant content and the loading time of the WebPages

Web Designers and web developers

Web design
Web Design is concerned with the good content and beautiful graphics to create an attracting look of the website. Web designers need creative content writers and web designers. The creative content writers provide articles and all the required content for the website. The web designers must be skilled enough to use graphic tools like Photoshop and HTML to design the WebPages with eye-catching graphics and beautiful animations.

Web development
Web development is totally different from web designing. It is concerned with the functionality and the usability of the website. Since web developers are responsible for the functionality of the website, they must possess the skill and expertise of HTML. The task of the web developers is to integrate all the WebPages, with the help of HTML, in a very effective way to provides visitors with the easy navigation. It is the responsibility of the web developers to test the usability of the website to know whether they are maintaining and developing the website successfully.

Businesses can hire any type of Web Company for its e-commerce solutions
Most web companies offer web designing as well as wed development services. Also there are specific companies that offer either web designing only or web developing only. It depends upon the businesses to decide which company to be hired. They can hire a company for web design and other for web development separately. Therefore, it would be very appropriate say that web designers and web developers work hand in hand.

The amazing and very rapid growth and development of internet has given rise to so many new disciplines. Web designing is a widespread and important discipline, which focuses on the designing, creation, enhancing and managing websites. As far as the basics or rudimentary terms are considered, web designing is not a much-complicated process. What you actually need to focus on is that the building block of a website is a web page. Therefore, your concentration while dealing with the basics of web designing should be upon the methods to create a web page and its key features.

A web page is not, commonly, an unseen thing. Almost anyone who is familiar with or constantly uses the internet is necessarily acquainted of what a web page is. It is nothing but simply, and straightforward, the page, which your browser interprets and displays as text and images or even sounds and videos.

The elements in building a webpage can be organized, most, into three categories; the elements that are needed to structure a webpage, the elements that are needed to decorate or stylize a webpage and finally the elements that are needed to declare the behaviors of different parts or the entire web page.

As basic knowledge in relation to web designing, you must be familiar with the terms HTML, CSS and JavaScript. They are some of the tools, although the most basic ones, which respectively belong to the three basic elements required in building a web page.

HTML stands for Hyper Text Mark-up Language. It is a language, which can be used to structure a webpage. By use of it, you can define different fundamental objects of a webpage. You can define the sizes of the objects, their organization and their order and placement, which are the measures of how or where an object stays with respect to another one. For an instance, imagine of a simple table and an image as an object. Now consider that where you can place the image relative to the table. Suppose that you prefer the image to be placed inside the first cell of the table, which you can do using that HTML and therefore we can conclude that the table is a container of the image or the image is inside with respect to the table and after all, this is all we call structuring a webpage.

Secondly, the CSS stands for Cascading Style Sheets. It is another yet a simpler language that is used merely to decorate a webpage. You can use CSS to set sizes, positions, colors and other attributes of an element of webpage or the webpage itself.

Lastly, the JavaScript is more or less like a serious programming language. It is a very necessary part of a page. It inspires interactivity into a webpage, which is the utmost need of modern web designing. You have to practice a little more to command it. The purposes for its usage fall in a wide range. For example, you can use this language to handle a specific event; for example, when a button is clicked, you can use JavaScript to generate a message in response. You can also employ it to manipulate the properties of elements on a webpage.

Web development at its very basic is a detailed process that entails more than just designing a site. It therefore requires very many tools for it to be a success. However, due to the complexity of this process and the many details that it requires, it can be a very expensive process. For a webmaster operating on a tight budget, any chance to cut down on costs is welcome. Fortunately, there are many ways in which you can cut on the cost of development of your website. One of them is to go for any available free tools that can help you in the process. This article reviews some of the free tools you can use in web development.

The free tools can be classified into several categories. There are error checking tools and browser add-ons tools for Firefox, Internet Explorer and Opera. These tools are excellent for cross checking your developed website before launching it in order to ensure it is optimized for all browsers and error free. One of the error checking tools is the CSS validator that is developed by the developers of CSS language. It is an open source and free web-based tool that scans your CSS for any syntactic and lexical errors and gives a report on the error it finds. The report will not only consist of details of any errors found but also warnings on things to be aware of.

The W3C HTML validator is also developed by the same organization that developed the language and it is a free open source web-based tool used to check for any syntactic or lexical errors on your HTML source. It also determines the SGML profile of the page in question based on the doctype. The W3C Link Checker is another free tool for scanning the website to find any broken links.

There are also some free tools for Firefox extensions one of which is ColorZilla. This is a tool found on the status bar that has a color picker, eyedropper and basic full-page zoom settings. It serves the purpose of color comparison on your site and the full page zoom settings can resize text and images. Firebug is another important tool that is powerful and quite easy to use. It has a console for listing errors, debugger for debugging JavaScript and inspector for navigating the elements and layout of the page as well as its DOM. Firefox also has a HTML validator that validates every page that is visited and a convenient web developer extension for helping developers in their work.

Internet Explorer also has some free add-ons that can be very useful in web development. These are for example the Developer Toolbar which is the Internet Explorer equivalent of Firefox’s Web Developer. Opera add-on tools include CSS Editor for editing the stylesheets of a page, DOM Console for DOM navigation and DOM Snapshot for displaying the webpage’s generated source. Other tools that can help you install multiple versions of Internet Explorer needed during development on a single computer include VMware Server and Evolt stand-alone builds.

Cascading Style Sheets are very important to webmasters. They are used for different purposes and one thing is clear; they improve the site incredibly. Using CSS in your site ensures that your clients access the site regardless of the browser they are using as CSS allows the site to be compatible with all browsers. This way, clients can be able to access the site from any browser ensuring that you do not lose out on any potential client.

When images and other graphics are used in a site, the loading speed of the site decreases significantly and may frustrate your users. To avoid this, webmasters use CSS which allows the use of smaller files thereby decreasing the bandwidth of the site. Visitors to a site do not have a reputation of patience and the slightest delay in loading speed can make them log out of your site. With CSS however, the pages load much faster and the users are able to access the site within a short time not just from high speed cable internet but also from dial up modems.

CSS works perfectly well with HTML complementing its use in a site. HTML is not sufficient to make strong enough pages when used independently. When CSS is used together with the HTML, the result is strong pages which cannot break easily. At the same time, the two make the site to be print friendly. This is very important because some users like maintaining hard copies although they can access the content from your site. They may not be online at all times but would like to have the hard copy at such times. Elements of the website that may be hard to print for example images and other graphics can be printed easily with CSS.

Importance of CSS in editing, adding and deleting content from the site cannot be overemphasized. It is obvious that webmasters have to update their site from time to time. It could be a challenge when editing sites that have thousands of pages. In such a case, it would take ages to complete editing. However, when CSS is used, the workload is reduced drastically. This is because CSS allows the webmaster to handle all pages together. CSS nests all the pages of a website together which means they can be modified and updated at once.

The content being edited has to be positioned at specific locations within the site. This could be challenging but can be successfully overcome by the use of CSS. CSS uses pixels making it easier to position any element art any part of the site. This saves not only time but a lot of other resources.

Cascading Style Sheets are important in search engine rankings. They trim the HTML making it easy for the search engine spider to locate your site. Users can therefore be able to access the site fast enough from the search engines. It is evident that use of CSS in websites attracts a lot of traffic and increases profits.
